Early campaigns

Greenspaces first emerged in 2012 in response to a number of development proposals. One threatened a historic Black Mulberry tree in the grounds of the Bangor Town Hall. Although we were successful, the tree sadly blew down in Storm Ophelia, October 2017.

2013 - 2016

We lobbying to protect a wet woodland from the effects of a housing development being built adjacent, and succeeded in adding a 5m buffer zone to the developer's plans.
